Recognise Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as a Mental Health Illness.
PTSD is estimated to affect about 1 in every 3 people who have a traumatic experience, it is a disorder caused by very stressful, frightening or distressing events. (NHS)
NHS Choices list; "flashbacks, nightmares, repetitive and distressing images or sensations and physical sensations – such as pain, sweating, nausea or trembling, associated with re-living the experience." Along with Avoidance Behaviours, "avoiding certain people or places that remind you of the trauma, or avoiding talking to anyone about your experience."
More support is needed to assist those with PTSD.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
PTSD is already recognised as a mental health condition, so we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
If you'd like the Government to provide more funding for support for people with PTSD, you could start a new petition asking for that.
