Petition Action

Revoke article 50 in the case of a no deal outcome.

Petition Details

As the 29 March 2019 comes ever closer, the likelihood of a "no deal " outcome to the current negotiations appears to be increasing. It appears that this would have a profound and long lasting effect on the country, both in business and in the lives of individual people.

Additional Information

A Government study identified 3 scenarios "mild, severe and one referred to as Armageddon." the severe outcome was described as meaning supermarkets in Cornwall and Scotland will run out of food in a few days and medication would run out in 2 weeks.
The Financial Times on 19 March 2018 identified that 1 in 7 companies with UK suppliers had moved part or all of their business out of Britain.
BBC News on 17 March 2018 identified that if the UK was to leave the EU without a withdrawal agreement, then flights would stop abruptly on 29 March to Europe and other countries that the UK currently flies to as part of the EU single aviation market, (which includes the USA)
