Petition Action

Uphold the principle of the rule of law in elections.

Petition Details

Recent elections in the UK have been found to be corrupt, with results being bought by campaigners. The Government is choosing to ignore the rule of law and enact the result of the corrupted process. Without the rule of law democracy faces an existential threat.

Additional Information

We call upon the government to uphold the rule of law, namely the Venice Convention, and ensure that those people who violated the rule of law to corrupt democracy are not permitted to enjoy the proceeds of their crime.
We have seen an corrupt practices, reminiscent of 'rotten boroughs', being used: emotive lies; illegal coordination; illegal spending; illegal use of information. All used to pressurise voters. Elections won by these techniques should be voided as unsafe as the law stipulates.

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
