Fine and charge lorry drivers that hit Wrecclesham Hill rail bridge.
Most months, there are lorries hitting the railway bridge on Wrecclesham Hill. This is not only dangerous but it inevitably causes major disruption to hundreds of people. Furthermore, it costs Network Rail money to repair the bridge. There needs to be some kind of restitution for drivers.
Therefore, we call upon Her Majesty’s government to either fine HGV drivers and/or charge them for the repair of the rail bridge. This is just unacceptable and it is time someone acted.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, if you'd like it to be a specific offence for a driver to hit a railway bridge, you could start a new petition asking for that.
