Theresa May to condemn the islamaphobic article written by Boris Johnson

Petition Details

In an Article written for The Telegraph, Boris Johnson referred to women wearing the burka as "looking like letter boxes", and "bank robbers".
This is a dangerous and islamaphobic attack that should be condemned by Theresa May and the Conservative Party.

Additional Information

The article appeared in the Telegraph on the 5th August 2018, and has been condemned by many MP's, Muslim groups, and members of the public.
As of today though Theresa May has yet to condemn this article or to speak out against the Islamaphobia that Baroness Warsi says is within the Tory Party.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

This would be an individual decision for Theresa May as leader of the Conservative party, and not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament as a whole.
