Workers shouldn't be held liable for council tax of students they live with.
I have been made accountable for the full amount of council tax of a 3 bed house. The 2 girls living with me had student exemptions, however that shouldn't make me liable for there share, the government granted their exemption, therefore should take full responsibility and liability for their share.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Full-time students are disregarded for council tax. This means that the council tax can already be calculated as if they do not live there. Therefore, if you only live with full time students, you may already be able to receive a single occupancy discount. We're therefore not exactly sure what further action you want the UK Government or Parliament to take. You can find out more information here:
