Prevent any Introduction of a Burka Ban in The United Kingdom
The Burka is a religious garment, worn by women from Islamic Religons. Wearing the Burka is a choice, and not needed for any religion. However, creating a Ban on the Burka would be against the rights of Liberty to the women. Allowing the Burka to be banned, is allowing Discrimination to happen!
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
The Equality Act already prevents discrimination against people on religious grounds. We're therefore not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking the UK Government and Parliament to commit to not banning face coverings in public, if that's what you'd like to happen.
