Mental health needs to be taught in schools so people have the awareness and knowledge to know the warning signs and help to save lifes. Recently a friend of mine has committed suicide, he has left everyone completely heart broken and devastated , but also shocked that he had to suffer in scilece.

In the UK 16 million people experience mental illness.1 in 4 are adults ranging from anxiety, depression, alcohol dependence, substance misuse and psychosis. 3 in 4 mental illness start in childhood.75% of mental illness start before a child reaches the age of 18. 50% of mental health in adult life start before the age of 15. Over the last two years there’s been a 70% increase in self harm in 10-14 year Olds and a 106% increase in young people going to A&E with mental illnesses.
