Petition Action

Make British Sign Language a GCSE option in UK Secondary Schools.

Petition Details

We are a group of Young People working with NCS the National Citizen Service and out Social Action project is working with the Morley Street Sensory needs resource centre in Bradford, our work here has inspired us to petition the government to make sign language an optional GCSE to raise awareness.

Additional Information

British sign language being taught in UK schools to all young people would help communication between deaf and non deaf communities and would provide a useful tool for young people in their education.
