New build dwellings should have rainwater recovery systems fitted.
Water is a precious resource. Rainwater can be captured/filtered and used for toilet flushing and washing machines before it is discharged to a drain.
The dry weather we have had this summer shows water saving measures need to be put in place urgently.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because we are not sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
We understand that you would like to see new build dwellings have rainwater recovery systems fitted, however we are not sure whether you would like Parliament to pass a law to require this or for the Government to provide funding for developers to do it.
You could start a new petition setting out what action you would like to see.
