Make a claim on one car insurance policy apply to that policy only.
If a driver owns more than one car each car has to earn an insurance no claims discount separately, yet a claim on one policy is applied to all policies.
This is unreasonable and discriminates in favour of the insurance companies.
A claim on one policy should apply to that policy only.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because the UK Government or Parliament are not responsible for setting the terms of individual insurance policies. Motor insurance companies decide what conditions they apply to no claims discounts.
You could sign this petition, which asks for motor insurance to apply to the car rather than the individual, if that is something you would like to see happen:
