Government: honour your manifesto pledge to plant 11m trees by 2020
You won the election with a promise to plant 11million trees by 2020. You must action this and report bi-annually on progress with measures in place to ensure this is met.
Governments must honour their manifesto pledges. Climate change is upon us and biodiversity loss is unprecedented. This government must be held to account on environmental protection & lack of tangible action on their tree planting pledge. Trees take years to grow, they need a management plan and funds to support their maturation. The Government should deliver their promise on time or provide funding to ensure that a suitable charity can take ownership of this action.
