Stagecoach West not to Force Fares up by 25% during Cheltenham M5 Junction 10 Roadworks
I suggest that the government pay the increase for the diversion during the M5 Junction 10 Road Closure for 12 months.
Stagecoach will have to pass the cost of the extra fuel usage with a 25% increase during these works on the fare of a return Tewkesbury to Cheltenham already costing £5.10 this will increase to £6.40 during these works.
This is outrageous many people will be forced into cars, or forced not to use the bus.
I suggest that the Highways Agency,Stagecoach in Cheltenham and Various Communtiy Groups discuss this at a meeting to outline plans. Also i suggest the DFT look at this also.
