Retain our Harriers
Any future minor conflict will financially require a carrier based aircraft as opposed to an expensive land based, flight refuelled jet. The 74 Harriers have cost us, (the taxpayer), over £1,000,000,000 (£1 billion). The decision to sell them to the Americans for £34 million for the lot is absolutely economic insanity.
Each plane for under the cost of a Paveway missile !!!
The government should either a) stop the sale, b) raise the price, or c) lease them.
