This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We understand that you would like a referendum on whether free speech should be a constitutional right. However, the UK does not have a written constitution like the United States so we are not sure how you would like such a right to be introduced.

You might like to start a new petition on holding a referendum either on a Free Speech Act or on introducing a written constitution that includes free speech instead.
