Get the Government to fund the completion of the new Royal Liverpool Hospital.
The new Royal Liverpool University Hospital stands incomplete because of the collapse of Carillion. Government intervention and the allocation of public funds would enable the swift completion of the new hospital so that patients and NHS staff get the hospital the people of Merseyside deserve.
Our new hospital stands idle and incomplete thanks to the collapse of Carillion. The Government should intervene as a matter of urgency and take direct action, including the allocation of public funds, to ensure the hospital’s completion. It is grossly wrong that patients and NHS staff should have to put up with the old hospital, which is falling into disrepair and demonstrably impacting on patient care.
