Petition Action

The far right is spreading fake news. Take action against this.

Petition Details

No one should use fake news under any circumstance, it's wrong. The far right wants to reduce immigration and, they have the right to hold that opinion, but they should use true news to argue their case, not fake news.

Additional Information

The far right claims refugees commit most sexual crime in Sweden and that they have turned Malmo into the rape capital of the world. This is not true.

Read this article carefully:

Fake news of this nature wrongfully increases hate and hostility towards refugees and migrants.

We understand that some people wish to reduce immigration and the number of refugees coming into the UK. We respect their opinion but they should not use fake news.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do to take action against fake news.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking the UK Government and Parliament to make it illegal to host or enable the sharing of fake news, if that's what you'd like to happen.
