Stop private & public organisations limiting the freedom of speech of employees.
Private and public organisations use employment contracts to severely limit the freedom of speech of their employees outside of the work environment. These contracts are used to restrict political expression and humour, with the organisation setting itself as the arbiter of what is permissible.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do to prevent employers taking action against employees.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking the UK Government or Parliament to make it illegal to discipline an employee for their behaviour outside the workplace, if that's what you'd like to happen.
