To allow retail and local authorities to enforce disabled parking

Petition Details

Fed up of inconsiderate drivers parking in disabled bays and to allow local authorities and retail outlets to enforce the rules on disabled parking as this causes great inconvenience to disabled persons

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

Local authorities and car park operators can already enforce disabled parking rules, so we're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking to make it a criminal offence to park in or block a disabled parking bay, if that's what you'd like to happen.
