Lower the legal age for buying alcohol and tobacco to 16 years old
Currently, students and under 18's nationwide are breaking the law in order to have a good time. Attempting to buy alcohol and tobacco under the age of 18 can lead to the criminalisation of young people.
There are already approximately 136,500+ under 18's smoking on a daily basis. Being unable to buy alcohol and tobacco has not discouraged them and the added risk of under 18's joining the "wrong crowd" can lead them to further crime in their future life.
