Ban the production, distribution and sale of plastic bags in the UK
The damage plastic is causing to the environment is a well established fact. This legislation would make the UK a world leader in addressing this global threat.
This is legislation that would gain widespread popular support. This would also drive innovation in manufacturing to find sustainable replacements for plastic bags.
