Make it a criminal offence to breach PEGI video-game ratings.
Pan European Game Information (PEGI) is a European video game content rating system established to help European consumers make informed decisions when buying video games or apps through the use of age recommendations and content descriptors. (Wikipedia)
The age recommendations provided by PEGI are there to protect children but this is problem is being ignored. It should be a criminal offence to breach the age ratings and the parent/guardian/carer responsible for the child should be held accountable to a fine. The UK government needs to make this law and challenge SONY, Microsoft, Google Play and other platforms to help enforce this.
Laws regarding alcohol, sexual intercourse, tobacco are already in place to protect minors so why is this ignored?
