Extend 15 hours free childcare for 2 year olds to ALL families.
Working parents do not get 15 hours free childcare for 2 years olds that those on benefits do get. Working mothers and fathers need more support and help towards paying childcare fees. The tax free childcare scheme is not enough.
The average nursery costs for a full time place for working parents in the UK is £12,107 per year. The average salary for a couple is £51,294, this means that, on average, UK couples are having to allocate 23.6% of their yearly salary to childcare alone.
