Make all new school buses zero-emission vehicles from 2020.
Over a million children in the UK use school transport provided by transit buses, contracted coaches, minibuses and taxis each day. We’re asking the government to ensure the vehicles carrying our children to school don’t add to the already harmful levels of air pollution.
Air quality in the UK has been described as a public health emergency contributing to 40,000 premature deaths per year and it's small children who are affected the most. Electric school bus motors
produce zero emissions. This means cleaner, healthier air while
kids wait to board the bus & inside the cabin.
