For the Churches to open there doors as a emergency provision.
Homelessness and winter and the cold nights are drawing in. As a country try to ensure a guarantee for the homeless to be dealt with at a time in their need. I am sure we are all well aware of the problem as we walk past many on our streets and city's laying there in sleeping bags.
Homelessness is a problem that most people are unaware to the true extent of the situation. For the churches and authorities (local and parish councils) to organise throughout the country ensuring there is shelter, warmth and safety giving the homeless and the general public a renewed sense of belonging in their community and faith for all people in a time of need when temperatures and belief in humanity reach there lowest.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This petition is calling on churches, not the UK Government or Parliament, to take action.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do. For example, you could start a new petition asking the Government to require all places of worship to house people who are homeless and/ or for the Government to provide funding to help them to do so, if that's what you'd like to happen.
