Call MPs to resign if they continue to be sponsored or invest in oil and gas
In the wake of the news that we are reaching the end of our ability to limit climate change the government needs to show they see this as a priority. There needs to be a stop to short term planning and focus on profits instead of seeking the long term benefits to the world.
Companies are the greatest culprits of pollution and waste products. Stop putting the onus on the public and start guiding companies to make big changes. If an MP is supporting a company that is not dramatically changing they should resign as their goals are obviously profit based.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We can't accept your petition because it would be the decision of the individual MP to resign, not the UK Government or Parliament as a whole.
