Nat minimum wage of 18 to 20 year olds to be the same as Nat minimum for 21-24
I am a mum of 2 children I am 19 years old I am on a wage of 6 pounds an hour just 10p more than Nat minimum wage for my age group I have to work 12 to 13 hours a day to get a decent wage that someone in a higher age group would only have to do about 8 hours to get the pay I'm working 12 hours for.
From 5.90 to 7.38 for 21-24 year olds that's a whole 1.48 more a hour
From 5.90 to 7.83 national living wage (above 25) it's 1.93 more an hour
So an average of 5.90 a hour for 8 hours is 47.20
And a average of 7.38 per hour for 8 hours is 59.04
Also adding the 7.83 a hour for 8 hours is 62.64
I work as a kitchen porter very hands on doing the same job as the other kitchen porters but because of my age not my living circumstance 2 children, renting house. It is my age that's the problem.
