Introduce a Tax on and revoke VAT exemption for beef products

Petition Details

Countless scientists have identified excessive beef consumption as both a major threat to our planet, and to our health. If we introduce a tax on beef products we could:

1) Decrease consumption
2) Raise money for schools and hospitals
3) Save the planet

Additional Information

The specific amount for the tax should be debated in parliament, however a guideline would be 1p per gram of beef which would be charged to the retailer. This would be on top of the standard VAT rate.
