Introduce a law forcing manufacturers to state if packaging can be recycled
Currently people don’t know what can be recycled. Different councils recycle different packaging.
Manufacturers choose there packaging and should advise if packaging can be recycled on the product next to the
Nutrition/CE label. Buyers can then choose to buy the product or not. To make this successful all councils need to have the same recycling capabilities and policies. Charges should be dropped at recycling centres to discourage flytipping. Make the manufacturers take responsibility for packaging because they choose what packaging to use.
