Pause further UK North Sea Oil and Gas Decommissioning Until 2040.
The UK has already met and exceeded its EU 2030 co2 emissions reduction target of 40% reduction on 1990 levels.
There are 11.7bn barrels oil in existing UK wells, worth £724.581Bn.
It is irrational to pay $80 per barrel to import a resource that we have. Decommissioning should be paused til 2040
OIL is and will remain necessary for 60m tonnes per year European plastics industry. Fuel extraction currently supports 320 000 UK jobs.Oil import supply/price is vulnerable to global instability.
