Make driving assessments compulsory for the over-75's.
I would like the Rt Hon Chris Grayling MP to debate introducing a compulsory driving assessment and eyesight check every 2 years from the age of 70 and every 1 year from the age of 75, to reduce the risk of serious accidents caused by the elderly.
On 16 October 2018, an elderly driver drove the wrong way down the M40 in Oxfordshire, towing a caravan, sadly resulting in the loss of 3 lives, including their own: https://bbc.in/2OpKZtk
In 2011, 16 year-old Cassie McCord was killed when an 87 year-old driver drove into her on the pavement, leading to Cassie's law, allowing licences to be instantly revoked, but this was too late for Cassie. https://bit.ly/2COyph5
Bus & Truck drivers over 45 have to supply medical evidence to continue driving.
