The HM Treasury need to put Aneurin Bevan on the new £50 note
With the country celebrating the NHS' 70th birthday this year it would only be fitting to ensure that Aneurin Bevan was featured on the note.
Our nation is dependant on the good work of our NHS and all those who work in it. We rely on it from cradle to grave to ensure we can have healthy lives and guarantee us treatment regardless of our means.
The NHS is undoubtedly our greatest social creation which rose like a phoenix from the ashes of WW2. Anuerin Bevan gave our country the first glimpse of a better nation, where collective caring and empathy could be realised. This should be celebrated on the new £50 note.
