Stop poisoning Small business with Public Procurement rules
The government is determined that small business should have greater access to Public Procurement contracts, and yet those same companies are expected to produce policies and certifications on diversity, the environment, workplace safety, equal opportunities, etc.
This applies even to tiny high-tech creative industry enterprises that comprise no more than five people, five computers and a tiny office, a ridiculous situation!
A small company is one that has a turnover of not more than £6.5 million, a balance sheet total of not more than £3.26 million and not more than 50 employees.
Proposal: Tender compliance criteria of the kind described above should not apply to Small Companies.
Announce this in the Autumn statement.
