Ensure Unbiased Government Referendi
Make it a legal obligation that Government MP’s should not campaign for or against a specific outcome in a referendum, but should attempt to provide both sides of the argument and let the electorate decide.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The UK Government and Parliament is not responsible for what individual MPs do during political campaigns. That is a matter for the MP concerned.
You could start a new petition calling for legislation to place restrictions on what the UK Government, including Ministers, can do during a referendum campaign if that is something you would like to see happen.
