Petition Action

Enable an Emotional Support Dog to be recognized as an "assistance dog"

Petition Details

ESA - (Emotional Support Animal) Service Dogs nees to be recognized as an "Assistance Dog". They should be allowed into restaurants/rented houses/taxis as they help people like myself and fiancé and others who have Mental Health Disabilities e.g. PTSD/Depression etc.

Additional Information

You’re disabled under the Equality Act 2010 if you have a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities. Therefore anyone who is disabled with a mental impairment should be given the same oppurtunity as someone with a physical impairment. This means that anyone with a mental impairment should be allowed to have an "assistance dog" of any shape and size. A dog could make the difference between life and death.
