Give Northern Ireland a referendum on the Irish border.
Why not give Northern Ireland a referendum on whether they want a hard border or to retain the current arrangements? After all, THEY are the ones who will be most affected by this issue.
If the government can't agree on how to proceed with this issue, and all sides want a swift decision, let the people most affected by the Irish border, the people of Northern Ireland, decide on this issue.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take specific action.
We understand that you would like Northern Ireland to have a referendum on border arrangements but we are not sure exactly what the options are that you would like to be considered. For example, we are not sure whether by "the current arrangements" you specifically mean full membership of the single market and customs union.
You could start a new petition asking for a referendum to be held in Northern Ireland on the border arrangements proposed in any agreement for leaving the European Union if that is something you would like to see happen.
