For N. Ireland to hold a referendum on reunification with Ireland
Under the Belfast agreement (commonly known as the Good Friday agreement) a referendum can be held to see if the people of N. Ireland support the reunification of N. Ireland with Ireland. Under the agreement whatever choice is chosen is binding of both UK and Ireland Governments to implement.
Ref the Belfast Agreement.
