Prevent MPs from blocking citizens on social media.
Many MPs are actively shutting people out from debate on social media. It's understandably frustrating for MPs to deal with some of the abuse they face online. However, Constituents should have a right to see what their MPs are saying in a public forum and should not be shut out by MPs blocking them
There are mechanisms for reporting and anti-social, sexist and racist abuse and accounts can be muted instead.
It would also be good for all MPs to receive some training in how to handle social media interactions in a way that does not alienate the electorate.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The UK Government or Parliament are not responsible for the rules applied by social media companies. This would be the responsibility of the social media companies themselves.
