Plant 1 billion trees across the UK following the UN climate report
Following the release of the UN climate report the government should do all in its power to ensure that the UK leads by example in ensuring that climate impact is minimised in line with the UN climate report and one measure would be to nationally plant 1 billion trees.
This could be done using volunteer groups, paid professionals and the introduction of an environmental based national service for 16-18 year olds. A crisis faced such as the current climate chaos we are experiencing should have a global rallying effort such as that during the war and all efforts to reduce the impact for generations to come should be made now while affordable!

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you would like 1 billion trees planted across the UK but we are not sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take to achieve this.
