Remove from Office those who Seek to Subvert the Result of a Referendum

Petition Details

That any MP, or member of the House of Lords, or any other person holding an office of public trust in the UK seeking to subvert the will of the people as expressed in a referendum shall be subject to removal from political office and barred for life from holding any position of public trust.

Additional Information

Subversion is defined as any attempt to support, put forward or enact laws that block, impede, delay, ignore, or seek to reverse the enacting of a referendum result.

This proposal will not be construed to restrict freedom of speech, right of protest, or the right to persuade others by peaceful means to a view contrary to the result of a referendum.

A settlement, by the people, for the manner of holding & running referenda, as well as a process for impeachment, is also proposed.
