I want to put a stop to Student initiations
When young teenagers/adults leave home for the first time to go to University and they are trying to fit in, be accepted and make friends they are introduced to their new student life by undertaking initiations.
Some initiations involve drinking copious amounts of alcohol which makes these young people very ill and disorientated and some of these young students have died.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you are concerned about student initiations, but we are not sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
Universities and student unions often have rules prohibiting initiations. The enforcement of those rules is their responsibility and not the responsibility of the UK Government and Parliament.
You could start a new petition setting out what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
