Extension of immigration points system and cap to EU nationals
In order to reduce the public sector deficit and reduce UK unemplyment the UK Government should extend the immigration points system and cap (at the current level) to cover EU as well as non-EU nationals. As around 75% of new jobs over the past 10 years have been taken by immigrants, reducing immigration from the EU as well as from outside the EU will reduce UK unemployment, thus reducing public spending, increase tax revenues, and reduce the public sector deficit.
