Ford, should review security issues with keyless entry. Treat as warranty issue
With keyless entry car theft on the rise I think it is time the manufacturers were held accountable for a clearly inadequate software/system which is so easily overridden. It should be dealt with as a failure in their software and therefore a warranty issue regarding the production of the vehicles.
Two Ford Kugas (one owned personally) were taken in one area of Coventry within 15 minutes apart. Both cars were locked and both were easily taken within 60 secs. The number of Fords stolen compared with other brands is significantly larger. The rate of increase is also worrying – there were over five times more Fords stolen in the first half of this year, compared with the same time period in 2015.
