Educate new drivers about how to approach & overtake equines safely on the road.
Slowing down to a safe speed & passing with least 2m space.
Understand arm signals should a rider signal.
Safe passing can save lives.
Educate horse riders to wear hiviz and be seen.

Additional Information

The Glow Means Slow Campaign was created to help raise awareness to equestrians of how important it is to wear HiViz when out on the roads and rural lanes.
This is due to the rise In more accidents resulting in death and near misses lately between motorists and equines.
HiViz gives a driver between 3-5secs better reaction time.
A spooked horse can react at speeds up to 50mph.The recognised speed when injuries are more likely to result in death.
