Make it a criminal offence to knowingly or recklessly mislead Parliament
The operation of our democracy requires the electorate to be able to place trust in statements made by the Government and its ministers.
Deception has no place in public life but is increasingly used as a means to an end.
Our Parliament must not become a post-truth institution.
