Petition Action

Reform the student maintenance loans so they are not based on parental income

Petition Details

The current student maintenance loan means testing is not functional in ensuring all students have enough to cover rent and basic living costs at university.
Sign this petition to force the government to resolve this issue and ensure all students are given the opportunity to be financially secure!

Additional Information

The current system does not legally require parents to assist their children and does not take into account siblings going to University at the same time.

This leaves some students without enough income to cover their living or even housing costs.
