Allow pets under 10kg to travel in the airplane’s cabin into the UK.
Currently the UK government does not allow pets to fly in the cabin, requiring them to travel in the hold as manifest cargo. Cases where animals have died whilst in the hold are increasingly being reported, discouraging many passengers from travelling with pets.
Many airlines and countries allow animals in the cabin, proving it can be safely achieved. Airlines such as KLM readily transport pets in the cabin to several countries, but cannot into the UK due to current Government guidelines.
