Remove ability for food suppliers to hide behind "May contain trace of nuts"
To Stop, Food Wholesale, Restaurants, Supermarkets etc from using the term "May contain trace of nuts" My young Son has a nut allergy & if you looked at every packet for the contents you will find most 'hide' behind a general term of 'May Contain' well does it, or doesn't it contain nuts?
This is a loophole, a general use of wording as a 'get out of jail free card' in order to not be prosecuted if a person dies due to nuts being present in something they ate. This is serious business & lives are at risk here. The law should protect but not offer refuge for those that cannot demand the highest standards from their supply chain. it's 2018, let's get serious about the food we eat & how it is prepared & labelled.
