To become an MP a person will have to complete 12 years in national services
In recent years it has become clear that MPs have become more disconnected from their constituents that they serve. Therefore I believe they should complete at least 12 years in national services i.e Armed Forces, Police, NHS, Fire Service or Education.
I firmly believe that experience in these areas will give aspiring MPs a broader sense of duty to their constituents and country. We need to end career politicians and give the voter politicians that have experienced public service and have their best interest at heart.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take specific action.
We aren't sure what exactly action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.
You could start a new petition setting out clearly the change you would like to see happen.
