The Government should ask the Queen in writing to stop another EU referendum.
The British people voted to leave the EU. The will of the people must be respected and implemented.
The Prime Minister should write to the Queen asking her to refuse to assent, now or at anytime in the future, to a bill allowing another referendum on EU membership.
A second referendum requires an Act of Parliament. A bill only becomes an Act when assented to by the Queen. The Queen may assent, or she may not assent, to a bill. Without royal assent a bill is not law. There can be no second referendum on EU membership without the Queen assenting to a bill from parliament.
